Head of Information & Security Job Available in Henderson Nevada

My client is searching for a highly effective Head of Information & Security (title is not fixed) C, VP and Director levels will all be considered.  
 

As the Head of Information and Security, you’ll lead our information security and technology teams in developing robust cybersecurity strategies to protect our assets, support our business objectives, and enable growth across our multi-location operations. This role requires a leader who is hands-on, innovative, and capable of building relationships at all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive information and cybersecurity strategy tailored to our multi-location business model.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of 5+ security and technology professionals.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, translating technical risks into actionable business insights.
  • Establish and maintain IT governance and compliance frameworks to align with regulatory requirements.

• Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee and continuously improve security programs, including risk assessment, incident response, threat detection, and endpoint protection.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure the secure integration of systems and technologies during expansions or acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment between security initiatives and operational needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships to maximize ROI on security technologies and services.

• People-Centric Management:

  • Inspire and mentor your team, fostering a culture of security awareness and collaboration.
  • Drive engagement through training programs and initiatives to upskill staff across multiple locations.

• Collaboration Across Locations:

  • Lead security initiatives tailored to physical and digital environments in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and construction.
  • Manage and streamline operations for multi-site IT infrastructures, ensuring seamless communication and security.

What You Bring

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years in information security or technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams of 5 or more.
  • Experience working in organizations with multiple physical locations, preferably in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, or construction.
  • Proven track record of leading cybersecurity programs, including risk management and compliance frameworks.

• Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align security priorities with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in managing and deploying enterprise-level security tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to inspire, guide, and develop teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging both technical teams and executive leadership.

• Preferred Background:

  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in hybrid work environments and managing remote teams.
  • Located in AZ, NV, or TX, with a willingness to travel up to 30%. Candidates outside of these areas with the ability to travel are also welcome.
